Who I Am

First and foremost, I am a clown.

I’ve spent over 20 years studying the art of the mistake, the failure, and the fall. After all, is there any better way to truly know someone? It’s in the slip, the stutter, and the awkward beat that our most authentic self shines through. My time as an immigrant and my work with refugees deepened my own journey through “not fitting in”—and taught me the absolute freedom that comes from moving beyond fear.

My obsession with humor led me straight into the human psyche: how we deal with shame, the ridiculous, and the power of a laugh. Today, I’m a “clown psychoanalyst,” helping people find ways to exist beyond their anxieties with both love and wit.

As Luís Fernando Veríssimo once said: “Only those who aren’t afraid of looking ridiculous are truly free.”

I eventually grew weary of trying to squeeze myself into the rigid, elitist boxes of traditional psychoanalysis. So, I wrote a book to share my own way of doing things. Humor is a craft, not a coincidence. Freud famously dissected it—yet he remained the observer, never the performer. My work is a rebellion against the heavy and the high-brow. I advocate for a state of play, not a ladder of hierarchy. I’m looking for paths that offer strength without the extra baggage. It’s about playfulness, affection, and raw curiosity. I’m here to prove that we can dive into the deepest parts of ourselves without needing to drown in the process.
