Who I Am
First and foremost, I am a clown.
I’ve been studying mistakes, failures, and the art of falling for over twenty years. After all, is there any better way to truly know someone?
It’s when we slip, stutter, or mess up that our most authentic self flashes through. Living as an immigrant and later working with refugees pushed me even deeper into my own sense of displacement—but also into the absolute freedom that comes when you push past your fears.
Studying humor naturally led me into the human psyche, exploring our relationship with shame, absurdity, and laughter.
As a clown-psychoanalyst, I look for ways to help us exist beyond our anxieties, holding onto both love and humor.
Like the Brazilian writer Luís Fernando Veríssimo once said: ‘Only those who aren’t afraid of looking ridiculous are truly free.

When I got tired of trying to fit into the elitist, academic bubble that psychoanalysis often traps itself in, I decided to write a book about my own method.
Because yes, humor has a method. Freud studied it, but let’s be honest—he forgot how to actually laugh. That’s the flag I’m raising, and that’s what my book is about.
I’m proposing a state of play, not hierarchy. I look for paths that hold real power without adding to the heavy weight we already carry. It’s about playfulness, affection, and genuine connection.
Because if your therapy doesn’t allow you to play, it’s just another cage.
